Is the Future of Healthcare Unequal

How Will Lesser-Privileged Citizens Afford Healthcare in the 21st Century?

According to a report by , healthcare spending in the United States has ballooned to 18% of total personal spending. There are not any signs that this tide is likely to ebb. In fact, it may just be starting to increase. As our society balances the rise of a growing population and the chasm of income distribution, it is likely that our healthcare scenario is likely to get more untenable before it gets any better. Undoubtedly, many thought leaders are looking to technology as the spark to reimagine how we care for our society and make healthcare more accessible, more pervasive, and more equitable. Is it fair to imagine a scenario where the technology advances that are coming to save the day in healthcare will be distributed to all society in an equitable way?
